Can Anyone Identify The Origin Of This Ceramic/Pottery Jar

    I originally thought it possible Chinese.. Maybe Han or Tang sancai.. But apparently it is not..

    The interior runs up and down with half of it handynasty1.jpg handynasty3.jpg handynasty4.jpg white, and the other half is brown/tan

    Trying to figure out it's origin..

    Any help much appreciated :)

    Hi George, and WELCOME to the board!!! Sorry, I'm not a "pottie", but maybe others might be along.....hopefully!!! On occasion something gets posted that does manage to stump everyone......GRANTED..not often.....so give it a chance!!!:):)

    I definitely agree it’s not sancai or From the tang era. The clay should be white. But it’s still a interesting piece.

    The end result was that it is a fake Vietnamese piece..
