Hey all, came across this from a family member. Nothing is known about it's origin other than it's been in the family for quite a while. It appears to be gold and has 8 stones in it. The pen in the picture gives you an idea of it's size. It's fairly heavy for its size too. Thanks! IMG_0048.JPG

Oh I should say as well there's absolutely no markings on it anywhere.

Not much to add but there are actually 12 stones...two in each flag in addition to the eight on the boat. What does the back look like?

Looks like it's mounted on fabric?

Probably a souvenir acquired on a visit to Hong Kong. The vessel depicted is called a junk and is depicted in every form imaginable in souvenirs in shops in Hong Kong. Looking at a magnified image shows average workmanship adequate for a souvenir but not a setting for real gemstones.

My guess is it was always meant to be framed. I ran into some framed sterling brooches about a month ago, but they were from Panama.
