Buttocks Basket - Age?

Hoping someone might know how old this basket is. Stands about 10 1/2" tall to top of handle. Basket measures 11" x 10" and is 6" deep.

 

I don't think this is a buttocks basket, it would have 2 lobes.

 

I don't see a buttocks basket either.

Never knew that thre was a buttocks basket.

 

Called a Melon basket.......also for gathering...but not eggs.( unless you can find an Amish gal using them in the coop !! )
pre 1930..... good condition......nice gods eye !
Likely Amish......but known around the New England States as well.

U can now get kits and lessons to make new ones.....
