Featured Buddy Holly That’ll Be The Day (1958 Decca LP)

From my collection, a rare one in the vintage vinyl markets.

This is a 1958 Decca Records original first pressing of Buddy Holly’s That’ll Be The Day LP.
The record is in mint playable condition, and the cover in amazing condition for it’s age is still in the original shrink wrap it came in.

In the record collecting area, this rare album is much sought after by vintage vinyl collectors, especially in this condition.

I put it on my turntable once in awhile for a great classic listening experience, Buddy was a genius.

*Those 1960 Platter Pak record storage cases in the background are original and hold just some of my rarest vintage records inside, I love those cases!

Here’s something that might interest you, this is from my collection. It’s a 1963 first pressing 45 rpm EP of Lesley’s from France, a very treasured record in my collection it is practically mint condition, it plays amazing!!! I absolutely love this record.

OFF TOPIC .. I'm not a big fan of canned soup but I just opened a can of Campbells Chunky Chicken and Gumbo Soup, it is not chunky but nicely soupy, has about 9 slices of ondooey (sp) in it and nice pieces of chicken,rice, & veggies and the liquid is sublime with a nice little kick to it, low in calories too. I eat it for lunch about 3 times a week .. if you haven't tried it give it a shot, VERY nice, Joy.

 

NOW I'm ready to Rock Around The Clock, Do The Twist, AND the Hokey Pokey .. the last one in my mothers era I believe, ... Joy.

 

Sounds good! I’m a bit of a vegetarian myself, I’m actually in my kitchen making a batch of Moroccan Bean Soup lol

 

WAIT A MINUTE !!! .. IS the hokey pokey a DANCE or something NAUGHTY ??? .. OH DEAR !!

 

Relax Joy.The Hokey Pokey has nothing to do with "hanky panky."

 

I also don't care for meat OR poultry but I CAN enjoy the little bit that's in that soup. I LOVE fish especially our wonderful Canadian Salmon .. Pricey but Oh so GOOD !! I eat eggs too make up for the lack of meat protein. I DO make my own spaghetti sauce and Butter chicken sauce in huge pots and separate it into single servings for freezing, those ZIPLOK cartons work well for freezing. .. ANYWAY I am way off topic, sorry, Joy.

 

Thanks Bakers .. it was the POKEY part that worried me, so I'm all aboveboard and won't get banned ... ..Joy.

 

Well regardless if it’s the hokey pokey, hanky panky, or the twist...I’ve been inspired to go back to 1963 for awhile this evening. I pulled out a couple originals from my collection. Both are autographed by Lesley & Peggy.

 

I was in High School then. Every party's play list included these!
