My Brush book shows this piece but doesn't ID the flower. I was thinking hyacinth, albeit stylized, but perhaps the flower ID'ers know?

    Thank you!

Doesn't look like hyacinth to me, but what it might be is a bit of a quandry. You can't really see the foliage all that well. If the flowers were pinkish or purple-ish, I might suggest wisteria, but I don't think they come in yellow.

thanks, bakersgma. The picture in my book shows the pot with a green/brown blended glaze, and the flowers are dark blue. So I think there's artistic license in the color. I don't think it's wisteria, which I have an aversion to (I've fought too many battles with that invasive vine!).

The shape of the 'flowers' is the same as the shape of the whole pot. Is it possible they are just decoration? Not sure they would look so much like flowers if no green had been used.

Is this the same pattern? If so I'm voting yes to grapes.

Grapes would be my best guess too.
