    Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out what this is. 15"L x 4"H. I thought maybe a candle holder but the prong things where the candle would sit are pretty thick, so I don't think so.
    any information appreciated.
    thanks for looking:)

Ooh, have you checked out w a s Benson articles? Arts and Craft.
I’ve seen some very similar on Christie’s website but I can’t copy. This isn’t the same but has similar prongs for a candle.

Have a good look for the Bensons stamp. They sold a single one at Sworders in U.K. in January for £420.
There were a pair on Marks4antiques too, they called them piano candlesticks.
Sorry When I try and copy and paste text I often seem to just get one word.

couldn't find a mark, but did find a good photo in the British Museum. I don't believe mine are the same, the end with the sphere is more bent/curved in the museum photo than mine. The ones in the museum has stamp marks on the copper drip trays, mine are copper too but no mark.

Seen the mark sometimes as a very tiny word Bensons, could be anywhere on them. There was an Antiques road trip show where a piece wasn’t ID ed in the Antiques shop but was found later on the handle of a jug. If not Bensons then certainly Arts and Crafts and really very nice pieces.

here is one that doesn't have the same curve as the ones in the British Museum, but still more of a curve than mine

thanks Houseful:) I'll go over them again when I'm taking photos. I had to buy 3 boxes of brass/bronze/copper to get this Ronson lighter, only $30 for the boxes so I should make some money:)

    Wow, love the dog!
According to oldcopper.org not all Bensons work was marked. Also other makers copied the designs so....?
