Bronze Greenman Like Face Sculpture

Don't know if it came with the stand originally or was later mounted on it. Not sure if the green patina is natural or faked.

How big is it?

 

The 3rd pic has what may be a Pan flute - those cylinders topped with music notes. If so then this character might be Pan???

the sculpture itself is about 7 1/2" x 10".

 

If it was big enough, I would have suggested fire screen... but it's not.

 

that is just the sculpture, the round stand is twice bigger, made of iron.

 

Is it big enough to be a fire screen then? I think Pan is a good idea for the subject, or some anonymous satyr.

Yes, usually depicted with pointy ears and horns. Small horns could easily be in that mess of hair or whatever on the top of his head. His ears could be pointy, but the tips are hid by the hair/beard. The thingy at the tip of his chin could easily represent a goatee that Pan was noted for. The shape of the face is Pan type for it narrows down to the chin/goatee like Pan's. The Greenman and the Northwind man have fuller faces.

Nowwww if the OP could just turn this around and show us a pic of his backside. We could tell whether Pan or not if he had the backside of a goat!
