Bronze football figure

    from what I see on several French sites this Lemoyne goes without a known biography but had a rather big output. around 1900, because football started to be interesting (as was tennis).
    just generally spoken: it would be nice - especially on French statuettes - to see the bottom because many were made in pewter and bronze and régule.

    Where did the trophy cup & laurel wreath go? Arm position does not suggest he's brandishing anything, so maybe a slightly different run of work?

    A named artist Lemoyne, active in the early 1900's..is the author of 3 sculptures, one of which is a footballer that dates to the 1920's or 30's.
