Hello all , good to be back on this wonderful form. For me another vase question for you . So this bronze vase has been in my life as a child as my mother purchased it back in the early 70's . She gifted it to me , so now it sits in my living room . I think she mentioned it should have a matching pair , unfortunately I only have one . It stand's 18 inches tall , about 9 inches wide at the top . Heavy about 24lbs on the scale . No markings on the bottom i can tell . Wondering if anyone can tell me how old it is ? If possible . I would really appreciate it!! Thanks in advance .:D 20220427_132002.jpg 20220427_132036.jpg 20220427_132043.jpg 20220427_132049.jpg 20220427_132053.jpg 20220427_132057.jpg 20220427_132105.jpg 20220427_132144.jpg

With the hole(s) in the bottom, there is no practical way to use this as a vase. May I suggest it is more likely to be an item involved in cooking?

Hello Bakersgma , thanks for the reply > No holes in the actual top vase part . It has the first top half vase , then the second lower section which i guess is the stand for that holds up the vase . And that has the round hole you are seeing . :D

Hello and welcome Kerim. Very interesting piece. The base with the hole looks to have maybe held a oil burner. But what for I have no clue. Do you have a picture showing it from the top inside rim?
