I know this has no value, but in the interest of my own learning I'd love to hear any and all comments on this broken and sloppily glued bowl.

    Thank you.

Close because there may not be enough horizontal lines in the lower part of the mark to match the example on Gotheborg.

I got that one at a low-key estate sale, along with this one, also broken. They were 25 cents each, so I figured they were worth the learnin'...

Just want to add a couple of really good sites for japanese ceramic id beyond gotheborg:

(Great blog. If you have an idea of what type you have, for example, satsuma or imari, you can scroll down on the right and find a spot where the posts are tagged by type):
    http://modernjapanesepotterymarks.blogspot.com/

Here's another great one. Looks so similar in design to the one I posted above, but it seems to be different information:
    http://litaxulingkelley.blogspot.com/p/japanese-porcelain-marks.html

And darn it, there used to be a great site just for imari marks, but I can't seem to find it...it's not even in my bookmarks. If I find it, I'll post it.

One last edit - google images has been pretty good at id'ing marks for me as long as the mark is quite legible.
