My mother used to have a small collection of Breton doll's furniture. I thought of keeping some pieces, but I have so much stuff already.

 

That's a beautifully made little bed.Yes,how much can we keep . Did you inherit the collecting bug from Mom & Dad ?
Of the 600-700 items we've sold,we probably only miss 5 or 10 pieces.
Dinner,car repair & mortgage payments-it was a good trade,especially back when you stumbled across pieces for 50 cents to 5 bucks ! It was a great time to pick.

The bling gene is older, that goes back several generations at least.

 

The Generational Collector Bug can live long.We saw a BBC Documentary/interview about a Duke/Baron (?),who's family had been living in the same castle for something like 800-900 years.The castle was filled with all his ancestor's treasure-practically untouched,in situ...scrapbooks,clothing,paintings,armor-if i recall correctly(?),he even mentioned a ghost or two jokingly.
Sounds like quite a double-edged sword to me.
PS-I'll see if i can find the Documentary,we found it quite interesting.
