Brass Mask

I have found a brass mask that I believe to be African in origin. Was wondering if anyone might be able to confirm this, along with a region and possible age. Measures 11" long, 4 3/4" wide and is 3 1/4" in depth. Thanks

 

African.....possibly modeled on a Seufo style mask.
Age.....sometime before yesterday ?????

 

Appears MFT (made for tourists,) or for export to novelty dealers. It has two different fittings for wallhanging and no mans of attachment to a human head, plus it would probably be too heavy and uncomfortable to wear. So hang it on the wall and let it scare away evil spirits and little kids.

 

Thanks for all of the help, you have definitely sent me in the right direction to continue my research on this. Below is a photo that shows a side view with the holes in the mask, where you run something through it to attach the mask.

 

The mask is almost certainly bronze and not brass. African bronze masks are made with the "lost wax" process-about the only way anyone making single pieces captures very fine detail

 

Don't let those side holes fool you into thinking this is some antique wearable mask !
The ring behind the man figure is a dead give a away that it's only a wall hanger.
