Brass Gas Torch

    it says clayton and lamberth on it. does anyone know what year more or less.picked it up at the flea market for 18$. i love it. its on my fireplace mantle.

    It uses kerosene, you'd have major explosion with petrol (gas). I used to use one for paint stripping. Possibly 1950s?

    Most of them here work fine with gasoline

    They generally sell for $5-10 in good condition

    I'd call it a blow lamp, by the way.

    I assume with gas you do not use the pre-heater.

    Still needs the priming cup filled and a good warm up
