Featured Brass dish - cloisonne? enamel decoration - origin?

    This little dish/plate is about 4" in diameter. Would cloisonne be the proper term for the enamel decoration? There is some enamel loss in a couple of spots. India? Somewhere else?

    Yes it is cloisonné, because it has those little walls to keep the different enamels separate.
    I haven't seen this type of cloisonné before, but India is likely.

    I've seen very similar with made in India labels. Coaster.

    It appears to have some writing on the back. Bedarned if I can read it, but it's Greek to me. :p:p:p
