This candlestick reminds me a lot of that other chamberstick (check the last image below) I bought and a big auction house stated it was late 19th century. I was wondering that maybe this one is too. What do you think?
If you make an evaluation, please elaborate a bit too, instead of just commenting: "60s" or something.

I haven't any help for you other then to say I have a roll sheet brass rectangular pan chamberstick with roll edge and a very very similar handle that I haven't been able to date. The handle on mine is attached by 2 bolts. Like yours mine has a flatten circle on top of the handle. The top of the flatten circle of mine is a triangle with 3 anchors. The anchors may mean Birmingham brass??? Mine is missing the lip or a candle cup. Not sure exactly which one.

Nowwww I have searched off and on for over a decade for an identical one with no luck. Anyways, at the moment I am dating mine early to mid 1800s until I know better. Just for comparison sake am including pics of the handle and bottom of mine.

I agree that it is probably early 1800s.

This thread got my curiosity raised again over mine. I think I have IDed mine as being jerry-rigged/cobbled. :( I have found at least a couple of others with identical pans top and bottom dated to Georgian era (late 1700s to c1800). The candle holder (column) and handle are different though connected with the same bolts. What clued me in was the ease that the column/candle holder turned. It seems the column (actual candle holder) has been replaced as well as the handle. I suspect the pan of mine dates late 1700s-1800 and the candle stick column and handle dating to later 1800s or even into the early 1900s. With all this, no doubt leaves mine valueless except for brass scrap. Here's what mine probably started out as:

Sorry to have wasted your time on my reply; however, if we could date your chamberstick then maybe I could date the handle on mine.

May I suggest you look into British makers marks. I believe all metalsmiths, not just gold & silversmiths, from that era were required by their guild to stamp their work. Those records are available. Sorry I don't have a link.

No clue on date of op's item and think it'll be difficult for anyone to date. However the small copper fasteners you folks are calling "bolts" are actually rivets. Handle on OP's could have been made and installed by Uncle Elmer or anyone. Copper is used for rivets because it is malleable and won't crack but will deform as required when hammered.

Anyone else getting an Indian brass vibe from the OPs?

I've seen almost identical but newer(?), painted vintage ones and those were said to be french.
