Brass candlesticks - Georgian/Victorian or just wanna-bes?

Found these today. I figured for $12 it was hard to miss, because even if not old they're solid brass and would be expensive to buy new. I found the same design elsewhere for crazy money, but brass candle bits are hard to date. The patterns repeat and these were cleaned and polished. A lot of the others had made in Hong Kong or Baldwin labels on them. Some were Indian. These ... those corks buried deep inside made me go "hmmmm".

 

I have my doubts...

 

If they're just newer ones missing their felt, I won't cry too hard.

 

Ruth I have no info as to how old they are but I do know that brass candlesticks sell nicely. Many use them for weddings or simply for home decor. Brass is still doing well by all accounts. I had a set of 6 that I knew were vintage because they came with the box so I knew their age.

Also people buy different sizes and patterns of these to mix and match.

Since you sell on ebay, they would not have to be vintage... and you could sell them if you are so inclined.

 

..except that I've about stopped selling on eBay. Between my body, handling the taxes, and their general scumminess I finally pulled the curtain down.
