Brass/Bronze hare

    Here is a moon gazing hare I think. Its definitely metal as it clangs. I'm not sure what metal though. Its patina looks like bronze but I think it is forced or artificial. It has quite a high gloss finish. It is quite resonant and small glimpse of yellow metal through the scrape on the base so maybe brass. Height - 15cm

    Bronze is not normally polished. Usually, it's left to develop a rich, dark patina.

    So either it's bronze, that someone's aggressively polished, or brass.

    My guess is brass.

    Given how thin the metal is, I second brass. Patinated brass.

    Bronzes are often patinated like this using copper sulphate.
