    figire1.jpg Hey guy,

For my second purchase in Sri Lanka(hooray!!), I bought this lovely figure at an antique shop.

Is it authentic? How old can it be? Any hints of its history?

    I'm just a newbie.

    Thank you!

I know not much about Sri Lankan antiques, but I suspect this is brand new.

What is it made of - wood or metal?

I think you should approach any more purchases with cautious skepticism. Buy what appeals to you, but don't hope to acquire potentially valuable antiques without preparing with careful research in advance.

It's made of wood. I don't hope to buy something valuable in a rather touristy place for sure, just wondering if this thing is old (as in artificially aged or not) :)
