I bought an older Bostitch stapler and I thought I would like to share it and maybe get some thoughts on it. It came with a box of staples, I am unsure if the box of staples is the right period to match the stapler but it came with it. I know this model was introduced in the 20', but I haven't found many of them to give me an ideal as to how long they produced them. ~
Mindy, I have a couple of old staplers that were in my Dad's office when I was a kid. When I was looking for info about them, I found this site not only helpful, but also a great read: http://mystaplers.com/Books/GuideToAntiqueAndVintageFasteners.pdf
I figure even if it isn't worth much for money, that's ok, I don't want to sell it and I only paid $2.50 for it anyways. My great grand mother worked at East Greenwich Bostitch way back, so I thought it would be neat to have because of that. Plus, it works great!
It's not worth much. Things built like these were bulletproof and so there are millions around. Doesn't make it any less cool to have. You can imagine it as the bosses' head, mash the daylights out of it and it will just laugh at you.
