Bone & Silver Drinking Horn w/ Marks?

    I think it’s maybe a stylized drinking horn? Wondering about how old this is and whether anyone recognizes the marks.

    Which end opens for drinking from?

    The markings (and I use that term loosely) you found have no "silver" meaning that I know of.

    if the big end is closed it's a powder horn.....but just decorative..
    if it's open...what's with the bird finial at the bottom???

    Well don't forget to empty the powder before using it as a mug :) ya gotta keep your powder dry
