    No, I think it would be 1944/45, and probably destroyed by the Germans in retreat. During the rapid German advance referred to as 'lightning war' communications lines were kept open, during a retreat the tendency is to cut them behind you to delay the enemy.

    The damage looks more like demolition than bombing, and should be repairable within a week with some heavy lifting gear.

    KingJoker, will you mind if I make a copy of this photo, just for sentimental reasons, to keep? I just feel as if I should ask. Thanks for posting this! I recently discovered that a great uncle of mine fought near the Battle of the Bulge, and was a POW for a time near there.
