I've looked at a lot of blue opalescent glass bowls with roses but haven't found this one. It's large-about 8" by 5". Any help is appreciated. Thanks aaaaaDSC06590 (2)aa.jpg

Is there a way to tell the Fenton rose pattern from the Tiffin/US Glass version? That shape just doesn't look like Fenton to me.

I thought it was Fenton but can not find the same bowl. Any links to a documented one? Thanks

Are you saying that the opalescence doesn't match? or the design/pattern doesn't match? I don't recognize the ribs being part of the U. S. Glass Co. pattern.

Fenton Cabbage Rose, does have ribs.

(picture didn't post, see next post)

    OP's bowl above
Roses shaped and facing different directions and leaves positioned differently.

Was Fenton doing a satin opalescent in the 1990s?
Maybe it is an entirely different pattern than the original Cabbage Rose.

If anyone wants to go through the catalogs.

Is anyone else having problems copying and pasting?

If it was Fenton from the 1990's it should be mark

Is it not true that if Fenton made the bowl after 1970, it would be marked?

    Hi,
Fenton started marking their items in the 70s.

Believe this bowl is Tiffin. There is one listed on ebay in vaseline glass: same form, pattern but different color.

eBay ids need to be checked for accuracy. By the 1990s Fenton was basically a new treatment and decorator. Meaning that they used old molds and differentiated with the glass color etc and paint. Not all molds got marked and marks wear or become weak and hard to see with use. Slight variations from mold to mold are not unusual. Oh Fenton did make colors consistent with this during the 1990s.

I believe that it also is Tiffin Glass. Fenton started to mark glass in 71-72
