Just a little about myself. I had a stroke at what I believe was a very young age, 42 years old. The only thing it affected was some of my memory. I collected and had a shop in a large Antique mall, mostly Glass, Pottery and Jewelry. I can only remember the maker of about 10% of anything I have and would like to sell them but want to be very honest with buyers.

I have this vase that I have been told by two people is Blenko, I would like to be sure before I try and sell it. It stands 11" tall and measures 5" across the top opening. I will probably be back with questions about many items, If I ask to often or too much please let me know. BlenkoVase.jpg BlenkoVase3.jpg

Folks here will want to see a picture of the bottom. That is one of the key areas in identifying Blenko.

Thanks so much for reminding me! I knew that but it totally slipped my mind. My good camera was left at my sisters this weekend so I hope you can see this well enough.

It looks like it could be vase #6810, optic swirl, Joel Myers, 1968. Though the neck looks different, so I'm not completely sure.

It seems like the spiral gradually tapers away to a smooth neck and vase opening in the catalog picture and others I'm seeing online. Your vase looks spiral optic all the way to the rim. And then, a few others look just like yours.

    From UncleChuck's link:
    PAGE 8, VASE NUMBER 6810

    Google:

I thank you all for the help. The swirls do go all the way to the top opening of the vase and they are on the inside of the piece.
