Any thoughts on the age and origin of this shaker? I don't see any marks and my searches didn't turn up anything.

I'm familiar with lighter blue milk glass... would this darker blue also be called milk glass? It has the slightest variations of color, which I don't remember seeing in milk glass.

    Thanks! :)

Milk glass is so named because it is white like milk. This should be called blue opaque glass. That said the misnomer blue milk glass is often used.

Thanks, George. I agree that "milk" glass should be reserved for opaque white glass, but... I figure if I can't beat 'em, I might as well join 'em. ;)

Oh, that's a cool bottle shape. It does look similar to mine.

Right, George - but doesn't hurt to search both, as people have it confused!

I'm a neophyte on glass, so feel lucky I turned that up!

But I think I finally have it straight, now - thanks!

I thought what you turned up, Scout, was amazingly similar!

Thanks, Pat - glass is the very last thing I tackle when pricing at sales. Makes me a little anxious when I see a roomful of it!

I'd have no idea myself and would have to look everything up... and hope I could find it.
