    Thanks Laura.
If this is from the 60's, is not it considered vintage?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

People argue about using the word vintage, but I think it's here to stay, no matter how much it bugs some people.

1960s is considered vintage and it's a good key word to weed out your items from new, made in China stuff.

I was talking with an antique store owner/dealer a few years ago, who was lamenting that mid-century modern things have been more requested and sought after than alot of antique items for quite a few years.

That hobnail vase is quite common and doesn't command a lot of money.

Yeah, I was looking around yesterday and only found two from this line that sold. But the two that did sell went in the $30.00-$40.00 range for some reason.

There are probably more out there that I didn't find. It can get so tedious looking for things using different combinations of keywords.

This one looks like the color described in the ad as lemon yellow.

Yes! I snagged it from the eBay listing, who freely admitted in the description that they'd snagged it from another seller, LOL.

I spent quite a bit of time trying to track down the original source last night, hoping for a bigger version, and hoping to find the date of the trade magazine it came from. Couldn't find it.

The yellow vase linked to above, also has the ad in their listing.

I recently read an article about what is considered vintage and they were saying anything over 20 years old is vintage. I don't remember where I read this but I will see if I can find it through Google.

For selling on Etsy, 20 years is considered "vintage". It bothers me a bit...Having a 28 year old son, I have trouble thinking of him as vintage. I was told, years ago, that vintage was 50 - 100 years old, and antique was 100+ years old. On the other hand, if I can make a better-than-flea-market profit from an item that's 20 years old, I really can't complain.
