Blue and white ceramic pot identity ?

    In the midst of helping a move I was asked if this could be identified. The only thing I found that might be an identifying mark is the little green thing in the second photo. The piece may be about 8 inches diameter (20cm).

    It looks like Mexican Talavera ware but, without a mark, it could just as well be Chinese Talavera ware.

    Yes, seems so. Apparently genuine Talavera is well-marked. I'm told this was a gift, from someone with whom the recipient no longer associates, so the trail is cold. Thanks, Debora.
