Hello, I have a series of pictures that might be prints or originals, photo attached of one, they are all in a similar style.
I can't identify the artist by signature or by the blind stamp which is bottom left of the piece.
Any thoughts? Clue to artist and date on the armour. Screenshot_20220831-112706_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20220831-112952_Gallery.jpg

I wonder whether the PRH78 in the center of the armor's back is another hint to the artist. There seems to be a lot more to the scene. Can you attach a pic of the whole thing? (Obviously not at the same close up distance.)

The signature looks like Philip RoHa___ (I can see several possibilities for the rest) to me. That would fit with PRH.

When I put in 'engraver philip roha', Google suggests I might want Philip Rohanro, but does not actually give me any results for that name. Rohanro is one of the possibilities I can see in the signature. Or RoHanrò.

look like someone's getting knighted by the queen..
sure would be helpful to see the whole image......

Do you have any of the others? Looks like it could be an illustration from a book, or one in a series with a title something like The Knight's Progress. Think this is a fantasy concept & that the armor has nothing to tell us about when it was produced. It might be helpful to see others, if that is possible.

Wondering if it could be woodblock.

For some reason an image search turned up only a couple of results for the Giorgio de Chirico House Museum.

Another one from the series. This time the shield is marked PRH78 and the signature is more clearly Philip R Harris Screenshot_20220902-191328_Gallery.jpg

I'd say the '78 is 1978. Emulating illustrations from 1870s(ish).

Here is an illustration of the period (don't know the artist):

I can see these might be based on that style, although they are simpler and possibly a little darker and less romantic in theme.
The artist is still a mystery.

I emailed Philip Harris the other day, in the hope that the artist might be his grandfather. It isn't, he was kind enough to reply, but he was complimentary about the lines of the work.
