Featured Blenko Water Bottle

Blenko colors confuse me! Do you think this is Seafoam or Sea Green or ? Also, is there a way to date these bottles?

Most folks date Blenko by the dates the colors were used. There are several catalogs online.
@msgood2shoe can probably help.

Thanks, patd8643! I looked at the Blenko Colors page-didn't realize there were dates! I'm still not sure about the color, though.

 

Looks like Sea Green to me. IMHO, with these water bottles, people collect them strictly for the color and rarely care when they were made since Blenko has been making them forever. Sea Green was 1960 - 64 and then earlier as well.

 

Figuring out colors of Blenko can be a real challenge. For pieces other than water bottles, you can narrow down the suspects based on the years the shape was produced, but with water bottles you can't do that as they have been in continuous production for decades and can be found in every color Blenko produced.

My knee jerk reaction to the color was Antique Green, though Sea Green is also a possibility. I don't think it's Seafoam.

Thank you so much, msgood2shoe! I've bookmarked your links and will do more research. My initial thought was Sea Green from looking at the Blenko Colors page, but it does get very confusing with water bottles.

 

Have you found this page? I don't know if it will help, since you don't have other green Blenko on-hand to compare.
