Black metal cherub bookends Bronze Bison Buffalo bronze head Destemone no marking help id

The bookends are 6" x 4 3/8" hollow, not like the ronsons these are sectioned together.

The Bison is very heavy but the top sounds hollow is 8" X 10" approx painted with varnish?

The head is 11 1/2" X 4 1/2" and has Destemone written all over it with a marker
Ther are no visible marking on any of them.

 

I wonder if Destemone is a mangling of Demostene, Demosthenes?

I believe only one of the words is destemone. I cannot read the other due to the shading.

Cuts down on material needed & weight, but also not so different from the way the marble is carved out under the shoulders & chest. It's not really particularly unusual.
