Black Glaze Pottery Bowl

    The white splashes are actually the bisque that is left unglazed. Studio pottery? Any idea of origin?

    Definitely studio pottery and very hard to attribute.

    Maybe a temmoku bowl. Japanese? Show some age but I don't think it is very old. I don't think this kind of decoration with the uncovered by the glaze areas was common before. At least I think that was done on purpose rather than a firing flaw.
