BK & co Gold Thimble

    A 14k gold thimble in a small box with Bigelow Kennard & CO Boston written on it. Thimble has a engraved name and the number 8 on the other side. (which I assume is the size). Inside on the bottom is a 14k mark and a makers mark that I can't get a picture of. Can barely see it with a loupe. The box is leather on the outside and the red velvet or felt on the inside.
    Is this something they would have made in house or would it have been made by someone else and just sold under the BK banner? Really can't find any other examples online. Resized_20241015_074109.jpeg Resized_20241015_074140.jpeg

    If you haven't already tried it, I've gotten good photos of tiny things by putting my loupe/magnification over the phone camera lens. :pompous:
