Bisque Covered Bowl

    Not sure what do you call it, parian, jasper ware ... ?
    Any suggestions on origin, age, maker etc..

    I can't help with the i.d., but I have to say that is a very pretty bowl, lid, and saucer.

    I can hardly wait to see what others know about it. ;)

    Parian ware for sure. Nothing like it in my Bennington book, not even the pattern. Perhaps it's English. Several mid to late 19th century potteries did parian wares. I've never seen a covered sauce dish or tureen (hard to know without measurements, but I suspect the former) in parian. I'm wondering if it could be a newer piece.
