Biscuit jar with silver handle. Its unmarked and 9" high any idea on maker?

    Is it American in origin? My 1st go-to search would be the collaborative work of Pairpoint Plate and Mt. Washington glass, but yours doesn't look similar to any of their work.

    Yes! I think we've got it now.:) It was painted by Mildred White Hayes, who was Marjorie's mother.

    Well, there was a Marjorie Thayer who was the daughter of Mildred White Hayes

Larwill St., Wooster.Marjorie was born Jan. 21, 1915, in Barnes Corners, N.Y., to Gordon and Mildred (White) Hayes, and married Frank A. Thayer on Oct. 11, 1941. He died in 1995.Marjorie worked in the laundry department for House of Good Samaritan Hospital in Watertown, N.Y., prior to her retirement.Surviving are a grandson, three great-grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law.In addition to her parents and husband, a son, Marshall Thayer died in 2004, and a brother, Lionel Hayes, died previously.

    That means she wasn't born yet in 1910. Maybe 1910 is not a date, or someone got the year wrong?

    I think the daughter was born 1915 so the mother would have been around in 1910.

    (I do need more coffee though now that you mention it)

    True. So it could have been decorated by Mildred in 1910, and the writing added years later.
