Bird Jewelry Wood Ducks & Real Feather Bird brooch

Hi,
I picked these up today and looking for information on them.
#1 is a brooch, real feathers but not sure what the body is made from. Some sort of soft plastic? He is 2"L. What age do you think he is?
#2 is a pair of wood earrings - with the screw backs would these be 1950s?
Any information appreciated.

Thank-you Debora! Would be nice if they were Takahashi. I've had a couple of his pieces before and I think they had wire feet.

All I know is the birds wing feathers look like blue jay feathers.

Either that, or what we would call a 'Vlaamse gaai' = 'Flemish jay'. I'm sure there is a proper english name for these beauties:


Just looked it up, there is a 'Flemish' jay subspecies in Japan. Those American Japanese born in Japan would have known it.

 

Looks like middle of the tail feathers, the rest have white tips.
