    Howdy all!
I need your help, I've been looking at this lot for several days, but with 4 hours to go it's already at 25e with over 30 watchers. I can't go too far but is this the lot to even try? Should I bow out or am I missing something I shouldn't?

I know we all like hunting through lots but I won't clog up the thread with these. I don't want to waste your time when it's not mine! This particular lot is just so big haha

Circled are what I've seen, perhaps missing the little pocket knife and a ring or two? Not sure.

    Thanks for looking!

The carved doggie brooches, Art Deco.

The long thingie (bracelet?/chatelaine?) lower right, looks like silver.

Yes I saw the doggos when I was circling the picture, I thought those might be older. Added to the list!

Oh dear does it? That would be rather nice. Looking at a closer photo of the elephant, I wonder if that might be silver too?

It could be, and so could the horse's head. But it is a gamble, of course. Do they have more detailed photos?

They do of the animals, otherwise it's a few earrings and the necklaces, that's it

I don't think there is any silver in that photo, but I could be wrong, of course.
    The doggies look good.

Yeah they're sweet! Well the bids haven't gone up again so I'll keep an eye on it and see where it goes.

Retractable pencil, or maybe a toothpick? Those things can be silver.

    those leaf earrings are lovely....
yes, the knife has some value..
enuf cufflinks and odd tie bars to warrant a look
a ring or two may be low k gold..
that star pin...and couple of others......look interesting,,,

I can't speak to your budget.... but....this would be a fun lot to take a crack at.....a great learning experience ......
not for 200 euro's of course.......but there are 75 or more pieces there.....so I would think at a 1 euro per item.....it would be hard to go wrong !

    imho

I did see those when I looked more closely!

You have a good point, a euro a piece is a great deal. I'll keep that in mind next time!

Thank you so much for your thoughts everyone! Unfortunately I've already passed on the lot and it went for 43.50. The items I have for sale aren't moving much, except the signed things. Even the silver isn't getting interest. When those things go I'll feel more comfortable making larger purchases. I do have a couple of lots that I'm wanting to save for anyway!

Speaking of, this looks like it's been stepped on doesn't it? This isn't on purpose? This is in a lot of 2 (the other looks signed), and I'd like to make an offer, but if that is damage and won't hold, then I really shouldn't pursue.

lovely , but that stone is indeed bust up !!

Remember.......a broken item...will always be a broken item....even if repaired.

and....... sometimes you have to buy.....even while other things are not moving.

    Personally.....I think u passed...on an opportunity .:(

Alas, broken stays broken. If I were buying for myself I might be tempted anyway, especially if I had some clear epoxy handy to pour over the top, ala Pierre Bex. But it's worth the silver weight as it stands

does anyone think those diamonds and pearls....are real.??

if so...placing a new stone may be a project !

    Wait is that a possibility?

Yes I was wondering if there was some sort of sealant I could use! So it is silver, I did wonder.

I love it personally so I might make an offer for both in the lot. But as you both say, broken is broken....

    I think it's possible.........
seed pearls and small diamonds are not expensive by themselves but can add sparkle to a nice design and centre stone...which here may be Sugilite..

It almost has to be silver, and bitty pearls are likely. The clear stones could be diamond and could be something else like white zircons or sapphires. Or glass, if it's a good grade. They didn't "discover" sugilite until after WWII and this style looks pre-War, but I suppose it could be late 80s and out to fool me.

How interesting thank you! It hadn't occurred to me. The brooch is only about 2 inches long (5cm), so not as large as it looks on its own.

It's grouped with another brooch and they're listing both as deco. The other one seems to be signed something.

I'm not seeing Deco here, or any siggy.....just leaves and a vine.

it's a cool broach......but the other one is superb.
