    Hi all,
I found this beautiful dream catcher at a thrift store today. I wouldn't even know what it is except my girlfriend likes them & has a few.
She said this was the largest one she's ever seen or seen one with a pheasant - or any bird - made of it's feathers on one!
Do I have something special? Is it real or a souvenir piece?
I know the idea behind dream catchers, but are they a real part of Native American life?
Thank you for any info, it is appreciated!

It's a modern craft item that could be made by anyone, so you should assume it's not Native American unless there were some solid proof otherwise.

here is a question......Is it REALLY a dream catcher if it doesn't have the traditional spider webbing? or is called something else?
Possibly a Mandala of some sort?

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    It's called a Mandela....( Mandala....Mandella..)
I used to sell them in my Gallery...minus dead bird.. .........but not for long....that wool picks up every kind of dust, and hair, and dirt........it's better'n a swiffer !!!

    Mandela ...
