This was at an estate sale yesterday for $8. I thought it was kind of cool, do you think homemade? It has in interesting pattern on the sides. I don't have it right here as I'm typing, but estimating around 7" tall.

The ringer part does attach, it came off so just took a photo with it off.

What can you tell me. Just a one-of-a-kind? Do people collect this kind of thing?

Could be a cow bell. Show view of top part, if it takes a wide strap may be cow bell.

Thank you, Spring. I realized when I loaded the photos I forgot that angle. Will get another picture in tomorrow to show the top part from the side.

    Thanks for taking a look!

Here are the additional photos. Looking at it again it almost has sort of a southwestern (?) look maybe?? I thought the pattern which goes around the entire bell was just random but now see it seems to be possibly houses and the sun. At first I thought that round thing was just a blob of metal by accident, but it appears 3 times over the arrow-like marks and now is sort of looking like a sun to me. The scene repeats around the bell, each section slightly different.

What do you think the pattern represents (if anything)?

Here is the top. I think too small for a cow bell:

My hand for scale to show the top:

Thinking just a folk art piece, maybe? Maybe some metal worker made with left over metal from something...

It could possibly be a goat bell. The arrow pattern being the herd owners mark.
