Belated Introduction

Hello, fellow antiquers. I actually already posted in another section but wanted to quickly come back here to introduce myself. As my username may suggest, I'm the son of a hoarder who has amassed an enormous collection of antiques over the years. We keep some things for ourselves and resell others, and we're always on the lookout for interesting additions. My mother's specialty is glassware and collectibles, particularly mid-century, while I like to dabble in almost everything.

In my one post I've already gotten a sense of the vast expertise here, so thank you in for all the knowledge that I'm sure is put to good use!

I'll just get it out of the way now, most of us are convinced we are collectors, not hoarders, and I'm sure your mother is a collector to us.
Maybe she collects collections, but so do I.
(I am not a hoarder I am not a hoarder I am not a hoarder)

 

That's exactly what my mother says...and yes, she has collections of specific things she likes! This is just one of the many cabinets in the house.

Only 80 by the last count, one more on the way, a beautiful antique silver Palestinian one.
More Chinese snuff bottles though. Far too many kerises, but they are special. And fans....
