Belated Hi to All

Hi there,

I jumped straight into the forums and missed the intro!

I've been a full time antique dealer for coming up on 25 years now after previously running a small distribution company in the UK. My parents were in the trade part time, so I've been dragged around auctions and antique fairs since I could walk.

I started by specialising in 18th & 19th century glass, small British wooden ware (tea caddys, boxes etc) for about 5 years along with Worcester, Spode & Minton. I have long since branched out into other areas following my interests as they crop up and have a good working knowledge in many areas. I'm in the UK so my answers will have a bias for what I see in the market here, but I do export about half of my stock so I have a handle on market prices in the US, Australasia and SE Asia - and in China to a lesser extent.

I'll try and help out where I can, and if you want to use my name instead of the user tag then I'm Chris (often just called 'C')

Welcome Chris. I am looking forward to getting your opinion on a couple of items that are very old and brought to the States when my. grandmother immigrated from the UK at the turn of the century. I am guessing they are Irish or Scottish, and my mother always called them "Brownware" but I have never been able to verify that. I'll send pictures when I dig them out. I'm new too and maneuvering through the website has been a challenge; it might take me a while to get photos done. It will be good to have your opinion.

Massachusetts isn't even as bad as it gets - just remember their drivers are called Mass-holes by folks in surrounding states.
