    So happy to be back!!

I've got some bits I'll have to post after dinner, been waiting to show you! But first, this little ring I picked up for 50 cents to flip this weekend. I wanted to be sure this was natural turqoise before listing it as such. A quick google search says the dark veins mean yes, but I trust your expert eyes more. I thought a hobbyist piece, but its got hallmarks.

    TYIA!

    Yay!!!:singing:

Those blue veins make me think dyed, but let's wait for the others.
It is a beautiful ring though, and turquoise is often treated.
Hobbyists can also have their pieces assayed, and often do.

Could be stabilized turquoise. Could be dyed Howlite. When I sell turquoise anymore, I don't state it's real unless I've had it appraised.

Thank you Virginia and Komo! I'll just say silver ring with 'a stone' :hilarious:

The image has blue veins in the stone, a sure sign of dye at best. The silver..is iffy, and if that's not real the stone has no chance.

It did test as silver, both frame and ring itself. I'll just list as a silver ring. Thanks Evely!

I will admit they're a little odd looking, no lozenge or anything that I'd expect from a french piece, but perhaps it's not french!

Those nasty Dutch often do that, but these marks aren't Dutch.

I think it is common on French rings.
