I ran across this beautiful tribal (African?) couple and got them for next to nothing. They are definitely in vintage condition but still solid and substantial. They are made of super dark wood with walnut-type burl marks / wood grain (ebony?). They are a little more than 28” tall and under 3” in diameter. I would LOVE to know where they come from. Any thoughts? :D

Please excuse the crappy images!! (I can’t figure out the camera on my iPhone). :0

I don't recognize them as a traditional form from anywhere, so it is hard to say where they are from.

I couldn’t mail down that head shape (and lack thereof) anywhere either. I’m stumped!
