Featured Beautiful metal and glass large jug/carafe

Hello everyone!

Asking for your help again. Got this beautiful large glass and metal jug/pitcher/carafe (not sure which one is correct). It's about 34 cm (13 inches) in height and quite heavy.
Looks very old, but I am not sure if it actually is.
There are some marks on the metal part as well. It doesn't look like silver to me, but I've been wrong before. Looks English to me, but I could be way off of course
Any help with the marks and dating/origin would be highly appreciated.

Maybe the CGH is for C G Hallberg (Sweden)? If you google them you will see they often have different animals or animal-like objects on their pieces... like this

I read CSH and thought it could maybe be Charles Stuart Harris.

 

I saw CSH too with what looks like a duty mark. It's a claret jug, so British would make more sense.

 

Is that numbers in front of the letters ? Like a 3 ,and possibly a letter.

Not as good condition as yours and not much information. No mark. Maybe a facsimile.

 

That one might be marked but the seller didn't bother to clean it so probably didn't see it. "Not as good condition" seems under stated to me. When I saw this one I thought that it would be something I'd like to have, the one on ebay not so much.

 

Could be marked. Erik's may be a far better preserved version. This is all I could find with a search for decanters with a lion's head handle. I don't know about silver plate and decanters. I'm better at searching.

 

...or they saw the marks & just couldn't be bothered to take even one more photo.

These are the same sellers who do not include photos of the bottom of pieces or show the item taken apart (ie a perfume bottle with dauber shown with the dauber out of the bottle) but will show 4 views of the bottle with the stopper in place.

If you know what kind of metal that is, that would be great.

 

I would have called it a ewer.
