    Hello everybody,

I haven't posted very much last weeks, but I finally have another 'jewell'.
This beautiful antique kerosine lamp, made of blue opaline glass.

It's standing on a pedestal, made of metal and opaline glass.
Included are a long pipe glass and the original globe shade.
I haven't seen this type of globe shade before.
That doesn't mean it's rare, but to me it is.
    On the globe says: "DEPOSE/DEPOSÉ"

I think they call this a parcel lamp.
It's made in France, probably 1850's but that's just a guess.

I have done some research, but mostly on looking for similar lamps,
to be honest, focused on pricing. Haven't really paid attention to the date, although I'm sure it's 19th century.

I'll try to find that out later, since I have just bought this lamp yesterday.

Unfortunately there's a little crack in the metal of the burner.
I don't really expect this to make a difference in terms of value.

For it's age I think it's in the greatest condition possible.

Any ideas, stories, thought are very welcome!

    Thank you ;)

Count on about a 10 percent ding for the crack. Basing this on American lamps from the last half of the 19th century.

That blue is very reminiscent of Theodore Decks signature blue. But he was a ceramicist - although, I believe he was also a retailer who worked with other artists. That might be worth investigation?
