Featured Beautiful amberina glass bowl (My garage sale deals today

I was a bit surprised to see a garage sale by my friends whom I was visiting this morning. I passed it because my mind would not wrap around the fact that her aren't any garage sales on Tuesdays. Hmmm. Well, I turned around and went back and this is some of my purchases. I can tell you that the amberina glass bowl was $3.00. The other items were very cheap. I spent $10 on everything. I don't know the glass, the bells or the wire bottle holder (the bottle came with it. FP, Friendship Pottery, another Roseville Ohio pottery maker. The white pitcher is stamped Homer Laughlin, the bluebird has sticker Westmoreland Glass, the gourd is carved e xxxx medna peru? hard to read but very pretty.

 

The white PF pitcher looks like it might be their Heritage pattern. I wouldn't call the bowl amberina because there is no red in it. Very nice hunk of glass. I would have grabbed it for $3 and research later

 

The carved gourd is folk art from Peru.

 

I agree it’s not amberina, it’s graduated. Can you show its bottom please? And a top down view?

 

Looks rather new and may be made in China. They make pretty glass.

Yes, the gourd does have a shaker sound. She thought it was seeds.

 

Yes, they are. It isn't made as a musical instrument, but could be used as one if you wish. Only if there are no other instruments, because the sound is rather soft.
