Barker Ellis Silverplate Mark??

    The note on the 925 site about 1912 sort of makes you think that it's a date mark. It's not. Rainwater says "Claims use since August 1912" and the list of pieces on which the scallop was used includes (among lots of others) "tea and coffee sets."

    That is where I looked but without the other marks I wasn't quite sure. Thank you so much as always you are a wonderful help!

    They used a variety of marks over the years, so the site is showing all of them. They would never have all appeared together on a single piece.

    One other thing - it's Ellis-Barker, not Barker Ellis. ;)

    Ellis Barker in the US, Barker Ellis in the UK... so it says =) .... Yes I never expected it to have all those marks but ones I did see online said the name as well as the mark.

    Oh. And yes - but you're in the US, right? ;) To tell you the truth I have never seen one in the wild, only online. And I don't even recall whether the name was there or not. I just know their pictorial marks.
