    Hi folks

I've had this for a while, and have never quite understood where it is from or if it old or not

Never seen an oriental plate with such a small amount of decoration

Bottom is totally unglazed, weights about a tonne

    Any thoughts appreciated

I bet that's an underplate for a jardiniere.

Something about the shape made me think of really old Chinese plates I've seen. Really out of my depth with Asian stuff though so only a guess.

I'm not sure the rim is the same width as these so maybe nothing to do with these. And your plate is very mininally decorated.
