    Good Afternoon Everyone,

New user.. first post.. and what a great platform this is!

You'll have to excuse me if the format of this post isn't correct or substantial enough, I'm still navigating around the website, the forums and the many posts that pop up.

Recently I found this table at an antiques shop, it stood out as I already have two other pieces of ball & claw furniture. There are no markings to potentially support finding a makers mark or date of when it was made. I see there are what appear to be roses on the corners of the topside, is this of any significance?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!
    Thankyou!

An antique shop in what country? (I ask because this is an international forum.)

You're doing fine, and welcome from the Netherlands.
It looks Asian made to me, but let's wait for the others. People will want to know the size, and see photos of the construction (underside).
Ospho is in North Yorkshire (beautiful part of the world) so I'm guessing thereabouts.

Does look Asian and perhaps not old enough to be considered antique. Let's see what others think.

Ditto. Nice table though, and hand made all the way imo.

Hi Debora, an antique shop in the United Kingdom, North Yorkshire to be exact.

Think it is likely an import from India and not antique.

Oh really? May I ask what makes you think that?
Genuinely curious, is it the design? Material?

I need to check the underside and I'll upload some further photos which may help the identification further. I didn't realize the ball & claw was popular in India, would this suggest it's a modern reproduction?

The carved roses are contained within a variation of the paisley teardrop.

    1970s Asian import IMO.
