    hi folks

something i won at a local auction over the weekend
thought it was a bit boring at first, but theres something i like about it. was only £7
just maybe like the execution, quite thick post impressionistic style
signed M reeves but cant find any info
    bit of an odd shape
    unframed
any thoughts or insights would be great

I like the boldness of his execution too. Pity such a common name.

Nice, it reminds me when fall is turning to winter.

Overhere I would also say birch, silver birch as Chinoiserie said. I have one in my front garden.

Our poplars are a monochrome colour, no dark burls or patches, but a roughly textured bark.
