This is not mine. I watched it go down at auction a little while ago and I wonder if anyone thinks these are genuine or at least of fine quality. Its a Jiajing mark for those keeping score..

I'm suspicious of the wear (it doesn't look quite natural to me), but don't have the expertise to know.

    The mark is awful

I was told a few years ago if the glaze has a shiny sheen to it its new. This looks too shiny to have any age in my opinion.

Hi Charlie: Good god. I didnt look closely but now that I do the circular rings look awful. the space between each of them seems to vary on each side and you can see where each ring begins-there's like a separate stroke there.

That's not how that's supposed to look. Right?

Um, the whole execution is wrong full stop!.

The mark is way too broad/large, brash

That's just the start of it

As mos mentioned the fake aging is totally transparent

    It's a total lemon :)

I don't know what to make of this, but apparently you can choose your own price. Most appear to be the same photos (not the op's, but a professional looking gray studio paper background):

    $170.52 https://www.ebay.com/itm/124992554136?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28

    $119.50 https://www.etsy.com/listing/1124189241/chinese-antique-porcelain-vaseming?gpla=1&gao=1&

    $800 https://www.invaluable.com/auction-...ming-vase-christies-auction-113a-c-75c48dd99f

    $69.00 https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803557341538.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2usa4itemAdapt&_randl_shipto=US

And more, if you do an image search.

Good god what a horror show. Im guessing the bidders on the one I show must have seen the one with the Christies label and thought it was the real thing. That Christies label seems very sketchy.

As I look at the one I show and some of the others you can see that the flaws in the blue lines surrounding the 6 char mark are also present in the blue lines in the upper parts of the vase, thats so messed up.

Anyhow that one I show sold for $807! gee.

if there are any other tell tale signs that can be pointed please do so. It would help everyone for future reference.

$800 dollars is just the final nail in the coffin

Should b more like $80,000 if correct

    Poor old winning bidder

Just a word of warning, if you couldn't tell that was a fake ss, I'd be staying away from bidding on such things;)
