We don't get much art glass in my neck of the woods, so this piece looks interesting and will be auctioned tomorrow. I've no idea on size and this is the only photo I have. I'd love your opinions!
    Thanks,
    Janice

    Gorgeous. Glass may be Rindskopf.

Not familiar with Bayerischer Wald and not finding anything similar other than the above vase when searching that term.

Thank you! Now I’m excited (and hope it’s not chipped or cracked).

It's gorgeous, I cannot add anything more but to say "how unusual" too!

A bit late to this, but I'd want to see that rim in person before buying - it looks as if it may have been ground down - it may be ok, but it looks a suspiciously flat angle.

I was thinking the same thing, maybe it was damaged and they ground it down at some point.

Is it just me or does it look like the rim is at an angle? Maybe the glass is not sitting flat in the holder?

Just might give a little better peek......enlarged & sharpened.....as much as I dared without distortion....so it's still a bit blurred...

Hmm, it's cut through the pattern as well, I suspect that was a much taller vase and it has been hacked down following an accident.

What observation!!!!! Agree completely. Still a lovely example of the work, if it were me I would try to get it anyway.

Well, I bought it! I think it's beautiful. I don't think it was cut down (the top is level--my photos tend to list to the right), but I do think it may have had a metal collar like the 2nd vase that Tallcakes posted above. There are some rim chips that I think were under the collar. Overall height is 10" with the vase being about 6" tall. Here are a few quick photos:
